Wavecom Solutions-Alcatel Lucent Partnership Expands Healthcare Communications for Molokai General Hospital
Wavecom Solutions Corporation announces the successful Molokai General Hospital installation and implementation of WaveConnect Enterprise, a Unified Communications solution based on Alcatel-Lucent` state-of-the-art platform. Seeking improved reliability and enhanced functionality for collaboration and productivity, Randy Lite, Molokai General` VP remarked, "Our problems ended the night we cut over to the new solution."
Molokai General Hospital is especially dependent on their communications system because the hospital is the Emergency Operations Center for the County of Molokai. It cannot afford loss of service or needless delays in reconfiguring their system. With WaveConnect Enterprise, their new Internet-based system, phones can be rapidly reconfigured or moved when needed to operate as the Emergency Operations Center.
Patient care enhancement at Molokai General Hospital utilizes teleconference and telemedicine consultation in order to provide access to specialist care. With WaveConnect Enterprise additional functionality can be added in the future to further expand distance consultation and care capabilities by only adding peripheral devices and without need to expand the network further.
